She was predeceased by: her husband Alton Hice; her siblings, Sylvia Kooper and William Gossett; and her parents, Howard Jewell Gossett and Ocie Beatrice Gossett.

She is survived by: her children, Lanita Dye, Homer Hice (Sandra), Johnny Hice (Teresa) and Robert Hice; and her brothers, Howard Gossett (Carla) and Richard Gossett (Brenda). She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
