He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Rutherford and Eulah Rutherford (Michael); his children, Sheila Diane Wilkins and Robert Rutherford; and his brothers, Walter Rutherford, Henry O. Rutherford and Mitchell Rutherford.

He is survived by: his children, Joe Rutherford (Cathy) of Summers, Donna Mclean (Lee) of Prairie Grove and DeDe Glover of Van Buren, Arkansas; his brother Claud Rutherford (Sandi) of Prairie Grove; and his sister-in-law Jennie Rutherford of Farmington, Arkansas. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Luginbuel Chapel (115 N Neal St, Prairie Grove, AR 72753).
