He was predeceased by: his parents, Eppie Mack and Gladys Janita Simmans (Reed); his siblings, Clara Hewitt and Carl Stoddard; his daughter Audra Richardson; and his grandson Aydon Richardson.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Daggs-Simmans; his daughters, Michelle Horn (Seth) of Cody, WY, Beverly Tobias (Casey) of Las Vegas, NV and Ricki Simmans of Pahrump, NV; his son-in-law Tony Hernandez of Fayetteville; his grandchildren, Sophia K Hernandez, Colin Tobias, Abbie Horn, Sophia M Hernandez, Tucker Mack Tobias, Kalani Hernandez and Oliver Horn; and his sisters, Susie Harvey (Dwight) of Hackett, Carla Watts of Fort Smith and Shannon Brown (Charles) of Hartford. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made in Jimmy's honor to the Military Order of the Purple Heart Society Chapter 587 PO Box 937 Lavaca, AR 72941.
