She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil D. Roulett and Pauline Drucilla Roulett (Frye); her husband Billy Joe Southern; her sons, Danny Lee Southern and Steven Paul Southern; and her sisters, Vivan Shumake and Emma Broadrick.
She is survived by: her daughter Gayla Sharon Hicks (James Joe) of Greenwood; her sisters, Charlotte Campbell (Albert) of Huntsville and Tammie Carter of Manchester, Tennessee; and her grandchildren, Matthew Hicks, Mitchell Hicks, Lucas Southern and Luanne Southern. She is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren.
