He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Dave and Nora Robinson Karnes Dave; his wife Barbara L. "Bobbie" Karnes; his siblings, Zola Mae Lockhart and George Karnes; and his great grandchild Andrew Bateman.
He is survived by: his daughter Connie Kerr (Steve) of Arlington, Texas; his granddaughter Laura Bateman (Tim) of Frisco, Texas; and his great grandchildren, Leah, Hannah and Noah.
