He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Wallace Chunn and Dorothy Orr Chunn. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Haithcote Chunn; his children, Amy Chunn Drewry (Brian), Andy Chunn (Andrea) and Brian Chunn (Sarah); his grandchildren, Will Drewry (Caroline), Caroline Marie Drewry, Claire Drewry, Hannah Chunn Wertz (Josh), Isaac Chunn, Caleb Chunn, Sterling Chunn, Broxton Chunn, Henleigh Chunn, Olive Chunn and Elliott Chunn; and his sisters, Brenda Watkins (Buzz) and Wanda Shearin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
