He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Byrd and Mary Madeline Byrd; and his former wife Opal. He is survived by: his brother Doug Byrd; his wife Barb; his children, Brenda Bennett (Mike), Donna Holt (Kenny) and Robert D. Byrd (Tasha); and his grandchildren, Beth Miller (Jeremy), Robert Bennett (Mika), Kaleb Holt, Ryan Holt (Avery), Hunter Holt (Harley), Brent Holt (Julia), Abbi Byrd, Robert "Maddox" Byrd, Braylen Byrd and Justin Ballard. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Park (5783 US 49, West Helena, AR 72390).
