He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hewitt and Bertie Hewitt; his former wife Carla Hewitt; his wife Pauline Mosley; his siblings, Joe B. Hewitt (Chester L. Hewitt) and Clara McIntyre; and his son Joe Hewitt.

He is survived by: his children, Kim Settles and Bradford Mosey; and his brother Marvin Hewitt.
