He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bonnie Katherine Jernigan and Louis Gilbert "Jack" Byrd; his grandparents, Emery and Sally Byrd; his significant other Barbara Byrd; his wife Beverly Byrd; his brother Brooks Byrd; his children, Bonnie Byrd O'Dell (Mike O'Dell) and Paige Byrd Stanley (Gene Stanley); his grandchildren, Kyle Warren, Ashton Martin-Shigeyasu, Nicole Jayroe, James Jayroe, Alexsis Byrd and Kayla Byrd; and his great grandchildren, Colton Warren, Macie Warren, Luke Warren, Kason Jayroe and Caroline Martin-Shigeyasu.
The family is asking that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his name to any of the foundations he supported, The American Cancer Society, Wounded Warriors, St. Jude or any local VA.
