He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Garrett and Mary Garrett (Armstrong); his grandson Jeffery McCune; and his parent-in-law Gussie. He is survived by: his wife Lois Garrett; his children, Sherry Pearson (Gaylon) of Tulsa, OK, Melody Strodtman (Greg) of Green Forest, Cynthia Russell (Floyd) of Fort Smith and Max C. Garrett II (Leanna) of Van Buren; his grandchildren, Kenny Enegren, Mark Hartenberger, Christopher Strodtman (Florence), Rebecca Hart (Rob), Chris Halstead, Del Raie Nickel and Samantha Reed; his great grandchildren, Gavin Ward, Ethan Hartenberger, Lelani Strodtman, Alyssa Toleson, Ashley Toleson, Christian Passmore, Logan Halstead and Cameron Halstead; and his brother-in-law Doyle F. Whitsett of Fort Smith.
