It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sonny Smothers of Green Forest, Arkansas, who passed away on September 18, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Smothers and Fairy Mae Magness Smothers; his brother Kenny Smothers; and his brothers-in-law, Massengale and Pence Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Potter Smothers; his children, Cheri (Denny Wood) of Fayetteville, Sheila (Brian Barnes) of Berryville and Austin Smothers of Green Forest; his grandchildren, Brock Wood (Mandy) of Fayetteville, Zach Wood (Sara) of Fayetteville, Shelby Newkirk (Alex) of Heber Springs, Lasche Finch (Jerad) of Carr Lane, Vanessa Armer (David) of Green Forest, Keshia Tomlinson (Donnie) of Berryville, Dalton Ewing (Erica) of Osage, Maeghanne Whiteley (Wayne) of Dean and Cordale Smothers of Green Forest; and his siblings, Freddie Massengale and Joy Molder. He is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren.
