He is survived by: his wife Helen Vandergrift (Whitely); and his siblings, Virginia Modglin of Mt. Vernon, MO, Marion Vandergrift of Carterville, MO, Dan Vandergrift of Carterville, MO and Jim (Kay Vandergrift) of Russellville, AR. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.
