He is survived by: his wife Joy Sue Simkins (Dotson); his children, Keith Simkins (Reba) and Megan Shook (Don); his grandchildren, Kyle Simkins (Samantha), Skyler Simkins (Reyna), Tiffany Crawford (Dustin) and Hunter Shook (Amelia); his great grandchildren, Dusty Simkins, Anton, Genevieve Garska, Kinley, Logan Crawford, Eli, Raelynn and Jase Shook; and his siblings, Harley Simkins, Carolyn Watts, Connie Atchley, Kerby and Byford Simkins. He is also survived by Many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
