We are sad to announce that on November 1, 2022, at the age of 93, Mildred M. Bates-Wilson of Gravette, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Maggie Shields, and Grover Cleveland Shields, Sr.; and her former husband Joseph Cale Bates. She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Silmon of Bryant and Dorothy Hadley (Arlan) of Gravette; her sister Goldie Jones of Midwest City, OK; and her grandchildren, Charles Alan Silmon, Michael Silmon, Steven Silmon, Josh Howard, Allison Gardner and Leigh Ann Heaton. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice.
