We are sad to announce that on May 1, 2022, at the age of 100, Mabel Josephine Mattingly of Grapevine, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Whiddon and Bessie Gidney Whiddon; her husband Vermon Ira Mattingly, Sr.; her sons, Randol Ivan Mattingly and Vermon Ira Mattingly, Jr.; and her grandson Barry May.
She is survived by: her daughter Rebecca; her son-in-law Robert Shanks of Grapevine, Texas; her son Steven Mattingly of Phoenix, Arizona; her grandchildren, Melissa (Kevin Marmion), Natalie (Daniel McDaniel) and Matthew (Anela Shanks); her brother Emmett; her sister-in-law Opal Whiddon of Mabank, Texas; and her sister Betty Jo Alexander of Mabank, Texas. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
