He is survived by: his wife Vernestine Godsey of Gosnell; his children, Marty Sherrod (Rachel) of Leachville, Tracy Godsey (Tina) of Manila, Joseph Godsey (Mandy) of Osceola, Matt Godsey of Blytheville, Jamie Sherrod Carter (John) of Mountain Home and Carrie King (Mitchell) of Manila; and his siblings, Marvin Sherrod of West Helena, Jerry Sherrod of Atkins, Franklin Sherrod of Ellsinore, MO. and Ola Faye Nelson of Poplar Bluff, MO.. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
