He is survived by: his parents, Spencer Brown and Marie Brown; his wife Sara Brown; his brother Spencer Brown of Tulsa; his children, Mery Burgener (Matt) of Kansas City and Joel Brown (Laura) of Denver; and his grandchildren, Reese, Kate Burgener and Oliver Hal Brown.

“Sara: I just happened on to Hal’s Obituary. I am so sorry that you lost your “love of your life” at such an early age. Pam and I certainly hope you are doing well. I noted your kids lived at that time in KC and Denver, so you may have moved to be closer to them. I retired in 2010 and we moved to our weekend place near Ponca.
