He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Thomas Williams and Blanche Christine Dunn Williams; and his siblings, Christine Thorpe, Harvey Williams and Junius Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Katie Williams of Glenwood; his sons, Thomas (Renee Williams), John (Jacque Sorrells), Ron (Janelle Williams) and Richard "Butch" Sorrells (Charles Sorrells) of Glenwood; and his children-in-law, Mattie Humphreys of North Carolina, Linda, Ed Parker of Texas, Retta and Sheldon Richardson of Camden. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three sisters.
