He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Pennington and Jessie Pettiejohn Pennington; his wife Louise Pennington; and his daughters, LaJuan Loveday, Shannon Ritter and Onna Leita Paulette.
He is survived by: his daughter Cherie Simmons of Owensboro, Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Nikkie Caldwell of Hot Springs, Bobi Jo Bledsoe of Hot Springs, Steve Norton of Owensboro, Joshua Simmons of Shelton, Don Johns of Hot Springs and Chris Johns of Hot Springs. He is also survived by four great-grandsons, six great-granddaughters, one great-great-granddaughter, and one great-great-grandson.
