He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert L. Moreland and Clara Frances "Sammye" Young Moreland. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Moreland; his children, Austin Moreland, Dylan Runyan and Hayden Runyan; his grandchildren, Avrianna Runyan and Kevin Runyan; and his brothers, Herbert L. Moreland, Jr. (Wanda) of El Dorado and Walter C. "Speedy" Moreland (Dayna) of El Dorado. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Joe to the Glenwood First Church of the Nazarene Youth Ministry Fund.
