She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Allen; and her son Kevin Ligon. She is survived by: her parents, John S. Bethel and Viola Ashford Bethel. She is also survived by five children and their spouses, Barbara Taylor of Lawton, Oklahoma, Paula Carter of Little Rock, Kathy and Lloyd Davis of Shreveport, Louisiana, Karla and Guy Rosenthal of Brandenburg, Kentucky and Kim Ligon of Kilgore, Texas; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
