He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Thorson and Ella Thorson; and his brother Bruce Thorson. He is survived by: his fiancée Kay Myers of Glencoe, Arkansas; his children, Justin Thorson (Stefanie) of Hoskessin, Wade Thorson (Jake) of London, Ohio and Courtney Parham (Chris) of Orlando, Florida; his grandchild Charleigh Parham of Orlando; and his siblings, Ron Thorson (Margie) of Marengo, Randy Thorson (Sue) of Maryland, Virgil Thorson, Jr. (Marlys) of Fort Wayne, Richard Thorson (Yvonne) of Genoa, Illinois and Patricia Cullison. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Doty Family Funeral Service (140 N Pickren St, Salem, AR 72576).
