“I'm so sorry for your loss!!! Coaches back then were like fathers and we were sons One game I was batting and got hit in the back of the head under my helmet. I played centerfield and after every batter, he was yelling my name, and he would ask me if i was ok? He would not take his eyes off me!! After answering him several times, I caught him not looking and laid down in center field. He sprinted out there and I said laughing "Now to you think you can quit bothering me!! Got you good coach!!!”
