He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Everett Tackitt; his spouse Emma Lu Tackitt; his children, Garry Wayne Tackitt (Amy, Gepp, Arkansas), Ronald Dean Tackitt (Gaila, Alton, Missouri), Kenny Dale Tackitt (Deborah, Alton, Missouri), Anita Sue Rieger (Ron, Dora, Missouri) and Linda Fawnelle Vaughan (Keith, Cabool, Missouri); his siblings, Harold Tackitt (Faye, Thayer, Missouri) and Bessie Biddle of Mount Ayr, Iowa; his grandson Michael D. Tackitt; and his daughter-in-law Sarah Jane. He was also cherished by sixteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren.
