He was predeceased by: his parents, Vero Calkins and Julla Calkins (Wanderscheid); and his sons, Bill Rankin and Tommy Calkins. He is survived by: his wife Beth Swisher; his children, Donna Houston (Mike) of Lincoln City, Oregon, Rick Brown (Linda) of Mandeville, Louisiana, Rhonda Grey (Allen) of Grove, Oklahoma, James Rankin of Gentry, Arkansas and Valerie Harvey (Michael) of Springfield, Missouri; and his daughter-in-law Laura Rankin of Rockaway Beach, Missouri. He is also survived by four brothers, two sisters; twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
