It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William C. Vanderbilt (Genoa, Arkansas), who passed away on December 5, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Chesley Paul (Cubby) and Inez Griffith Vanderbilt of Genoa-Central; and his sister Betty Kay Vanderbilt Long of Redwater, Texas.. He is survived by: his wife Pasty Lurry Vanderbilt of Genoa-Central, Arkansas; his son William C. Vanderbilt II; his daughter-in-law Diane Boyd Vanderbilt of Dallas; his son Brad Avery Vanderbilt of Genoa-Central; his brother Avery Vanderbilt; his sister-in-law Juanice Rushing Vanderbilt of Fouke, Arkansas; his brother Lantz Lurry, Jr.; his siblings-in-law, Diane Lurry of Texarkana, Arkansas and Raymond Long of Redwater, Texas; his grandchildren, Caitlin Elyse Vanderbilt of Boston and William C. Vanderbilt III of Dallas; and his granddaughter-in-law Kelsey Aubry Vanderbilt. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as many cherished friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the Texarkana's Harvest Regional Food Bank.
