It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Slater of Gassville, Arkansas, born in Ruleville, Mississippi, who passed away on October 20, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Raymond and Maude Mare Willingham (Wright); her husband Charles L. Slater, Sr.; and her siblings, Jesse Willingham, Charles Willingham, Donald Willingham, Addie Welch and Vontice Kimbrell.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Lee Slater, Jr. (Gina), Raymond Slater (Paula), Victoria Lewis (James) of Gassville, Arkansas and Melinda Dye (Rick) of Gassville, Arkansas; and her brother Robert Franklin Willingham of Ruleville, Mississippi. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
