She was predeceased by: her parents, J. O. Alford and Lavel Shannon Alford. She is survived by: her husband Forest Blount August; and her children, Michelle Herekamp (Greg) of Searcy, Dana Wilcox (Chris) of Garner and Stephen Blount (Missy) of McRae. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; as well as three sisters and numerous extended family and friends.
