He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph H. Goodnight Sr. and Elvira Caroline Barnett Goodnight; and his stepfather John Ferry. He is survived by: his wife Donna; and his children, Dwayne Goodnight (Aimee), Lisa Hedger (Brian), Joe Goodnight and Joy Morrison (Jim). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
