He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. William Smedley and Margaret Breeden Smedley; and his brother Michael Smedley. He is survived by: his children, Dr. Anna Smedley of Eureka Springs, Jennifer Jensen (Chris) of Leonardtown, Nicole French of Rogers, Nate Cannady of Pea Ridge and Ashley Scott of Pea Ridge, Ark.; and his sisters, Dr. Georgia Smedley of Overland Park and Kathryn Christian of Grand Junction. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
