He is survived by: his close friend Melaney Matthis; his children, Daniel Whitson (Aubrey) of Fayetteville and Amanda Williams of Pea Ridge; his siblings, Eddie Whitson of Towanda, Jerald "Chink" Whitson of Wichita, Kansas and Annetta Bethel of Wichita, Kansas; and his grandchildren, Tucker Whitson, Colton Davidson, Mason Williams, Jett Whitson and Kyte Whitson.
