He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Paul Robert and Verba Fogle Ernst; his children, Tony, James "Randy" and Pamela Kay; and his brother Paul Wayne.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Ernst of Gamaliel, AR; his son Steven Ernst of Arlington, TX; his siblings, Kay Lynn Musick (Gary) of Dallas, TX and Joe Dean Ernst (Gloria) of Gunter, TX; his sister-in-law Alice Ernst of Grand Prairie, TX; and his granddaughter Toni Westover (Kevin) of Newburn, NC. He is also survived by two grandsons, two great-granddaughters; two great grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
