He is survived by: his wife Alice Knighton; his sister Sue Herman of Minden, LA; his daughter-in-law Kaye "Mack" Knighton; his grandchildren, Phillip M. Knighton (Honour) of Hope, AR, Autumn Newsom (Zach) of Guernsey, AR and Amber Ray (Cody) of Waldo, AR; and his great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Braxton.
