He was predeceased by: his son Doug McMahan; and his siblings, Lorene McDaniel, Dolly Strother, Dorothy Dyer, Lucille Jones, Letha Jones, Pete McMahan and Paul McMahan.
He is survived by: his spouse Sue McMahan; his children, Jackie Crawley, Brenda Purifoy (Dewayne) and Vernon McMahan (Kathleen) of Midway; and his brothers, Jim McMahan (Lucille) and Louis McMahan (Wanda). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, awaiting the arrival of two additional great-grandchildren.
