He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman H. Kirby and Millie Stiles Kirby; his grandparents, Junior and Rosemary; his brothers, Jerry Kirby and Ronald Kirby; and his parents-in-law, Davis "Jack" and Maxine Dunn.
He is survived by: his son Robert Alan Kirby (Chassie); his daughter-in-law Chassie Kirby; his grandchildren, Taylor Kirby and Madison Kirby; his close friends, Lonnie Turner, Glen Morris and Robert Chrisman; his wife Rosemary Dunn Kirby of Cecil; and his siblings-in-law, Courtney and Anne Dunn.
