He was predeceased by: his parents, Audie Faye Herron (Gleghorn) and James Fieldon Herron. He is survived by: his children, TJ (Teressa), Craig (Tina), Kevin (Jennifer) and Lisa (Michael); his wife BJ (Barbara); his granddaughter Shannon (Marty); his great grandchildren, Aliyah and Adalind; his stepgranddaughter DeElla; his grandchildren, James, Dustin and Cherie (Michael); his great grandchildren, Ayden and Emery; his stepgranddaughters, Summer and Lacey (Dustin); his great grandchild Callie; his stepgrandsons, Wyatt and Colt; his grandson Merrick (Kalya); and his great grandchildren, Bristyl, Kallon, Brennan (Brynn), Landon, Macauley, Edison and Hensley. He is also survived by four children; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
