She was predeceased by: her parents, Garland Thompson and Gladys Cash Akins; her spouse Lane Carl Brown; and her siblings, Norrell Thompson and Bobbie Bass.
She is survived by: her children, Kelvan Brown (Kara Morgan) of Fountain Hill, Carl D. Brown of Fountain Hill, Paula Marie Engelkes (Mark) of Monticello and Norma Windham of Fountain Hill; her grandchildren, Crystal Amos, Ashley McGee, Justin Petty and Elizabeth Brown; and her great grandchildren, Brody, Blakley Smith and Skylar Hill.
