He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd M. Riels and Annie Mae Dew Riels. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Hollis Riels; his children, Alicia Kunert (Joel) of Heber Springs, Alan Riels (Lisa) of Hamburg and Andy Riels (Susan) of Crossett; his grandchildren, Allison Bussmann (Adam) and Drs; and his great grandchildren, Henry Bussmann, George Bussmann, Kash Outlaw, Rosemary Riels, Ophelia Riels, Morgan Cooper, Madisyn Kunert and Layla Kunert.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel (302 E Lincoln St, Hamburg, AR 71646). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Hamburg (203 E Parker St, Hamburg, AR 71646). A burial was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at the Zion Cemetery (720 E Parker St, Hamburg, AR 71646).
