He was predeceased by: his former wife Doris Nell Johnson Hudson; his wife Katharina Gifford Hudson; his daughter Audrey Faye Wallis; his granddaughter Samantha Michelle Hudson; his great grandchild Joseph Douglas Parks; his parents, Wylie Hudson and Tiny Durey Hudson; his siblings, Warner A. "Red" Hudson, Floyd C. Hudson, Jim Thomas Hudson, John Edward "Gunt" Hudson, John Henry "Possum" Hudson, Ralph Hudson and Betty Doris Rochester; and his daughter-in-law Lisa Ann Hudson.

He is survived by: his sons, Jim Hudson (Denise) of Fountain Hill, Larry Hudson (Pam Gulledge) of Fountain Hill and Doug Hudson (Donna) of Hamburg; his stepson Karl Gifford (Dwyla) of Wilmar; his siblings, Billy Hudson of Fountain Hill, Pat Chavis (Roger) of Fountain Hill and Louise Dunemn of Warren; his grandchildren, Justen Hudson (Meredith), Melinda Adair, Katie Bolin (Dax), Danielle Kreamalmyer (Lance), Heather Williams (Johnny), Stephanie White (Wade), Whitney Parks (Adam), Alyssa Parker and Keith Parker; his stepgrandsons, Jake Gifford, Matthew Gifford and Nicholas Gifford; and his great grandchildren, Leah, Reagan, Lincoln, Jenson, Logan, Maylee, Piper, Rylin, Trigger, Kensley Jo, Camdyn and Jackson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
