She was predeceased by: her husband Jimmy McKinney; her grandson Alex James McKinney; and her parents, Bunk Shelton and Bessie Reames Shelton. She is survived by: her son James McKinney (D'Ann) of Hamburg; her sister Linda Huffman (Bruce) of Monticello; her siblings-in-law, Robert McKinney (Hisae) of Honolulu and JoAnn Holloway (Wiley) of Lampasas; and her granddaughters, Brooke McKinney and Malorie McKinney. She is also survived by three nephews and a niece.
