She was predeceased by: her daughter Sheila Lynn Jones; her granddaughter Nikki Carpenter; her parents, Otis Ogles and Hazel Adams Ogles; her former husband John W. "Johnny" Carpenter Sr.; and her brother Raymond Ogles.
She is survived by: her children, John William Carpenter, Jr. (Cindy Lewis) of Fountain Hill and Marilyn Hall (David) of Fountain Hill; and her sister Betty Young of Pine Bluff. She is also survived by her other fur babies and a host of nieces and nephews.
