He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Brittney Eads; his parents, George Dewey and Verla Melissa Bryan Withers; and his siblings, Gaston Withers, Oliver Withers, Jimmy Dale Withers, Hester Chandler, Christine Hays, Earline Alldread, Dorothy "Dot" Abel and Norma Frances Withers.

He is survived by: his wife Axie Nixon Withers of Fountain Hill; his children, Steve Withers (Dana) and Glennis Jackson (Doug) of Crossett; his brother Bobby Withers of Little Rock; his grandchildren, Brittani Harrington (Jesse), Lance Withers (Montana), Brooke Ferrell (Jacob) and Brandon Eads; and his great grandchildren, Kruze, Korbyn, Savanna, Ada Wren and Maverick.
