She was predeceased by: her parents, Edna Mae Porter Sims and Samuel Craig Sims; her husband Gary Ronald Mayfield; and her siblings, James Sims, Fred Sims, Noble Sims, Samuel "Dute" Sims, David "Penny" Sims, Dick Sims, Virginia Williamson and Dorothy Benefield.
She is survived by: her sons, Doug Mayfield of Haynesville, Steve Mayfield of Haynesville and Shane Mayfield (Amber) of Emerson; her grandchildren, Aiden Mayfield of Emerson, Addie Mayfield of Emerson and Haley Mayfield of Haughton; her sisters, Margaret Lewis of Dodge City, AR and Ruthie Weems of Fouke, AR; and her siblings-in-law, James "Turkey" Mayfield of Haynesville, Donald "Dude" Davenport of Haynesville and Carolyn Dale of Mississippi. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home - Haynesville (4011 Summerfield Hwy, Bernice, LA 71222). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
