It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Vivian Ruth Gibbs of Fort Smith, Arkansas, born in Greenwood, Arkansas, who passed away on January 28, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Lee and Corinne Janice Gibbs (Evans); her children, Kathleen Townshend and Michael McGuire; her grandson Freddie Gray; and her sister Jane Kirby.
She is survived by: her son Evan Frick of Fort Smith; her close friend Rex Martin of Fort Smith; her sister Norma Lee Hopkins of Fort Smith; and her grandchildren, Brook Kibler, Kelsey Rogers, Elizabeth, Sarah Frick, Kari Philpot, Christian and Phillip McGuire. She is also survived by four great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews.
