She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Darby and Violet Darby; her siblings, June Farrell, Jerry Darby and Donald Jr. of Los Angeles; and her son Scott Robertson of Fort Smith, AR..
She is survived by: her husband Joe Rowland of Fort Smith, AR; her children, David Robertson (Roberta) of Fort Smith, Helen Dill (Mike) of Oklahoma City, OK and Irene Robertson of Fort Smith; her sister Margie Wiedlin of Brookings, OR; and her grandchildren, Lisa Moody (Alan) of Moore, OK, Kevin Robertson, LeAnn Shipp (Joey) of Fort Smith, Jennifer McLead (Bill) of Oklahoma City, OK, Colt Smith of Fort Smith, Cache Coelho of Long Branch, NJ and Colt Coelho of Fort Smith. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She formerly worked at the Rainbird Corporation, Crawford County Health Department, retails sales and finally for the Alzheimer's Association. Virginia was a strong advocate and was named volunteer of the year for 2007, and was very involved in the annual Tinsel and Tails charity event.
