Vernon Thomas Cooksey Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 21, 2020, at the age of 88, Vernon Thomas Cooksey of Fort Smith, Arkansas, born in Evansville, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Samuel and Mina Louisa Cooksey (Burgdorf); and his sisters, Wilda Cooksey, Clarine James Heseman and Mamylee Hamman.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce "Joy" Cooksey; his children, Sheila Goodfellow (Robert), Suzanne Cowne (Neal) and Bruce Thomas Cooksey (Cindy); his sister Kathleen Parker; and his grandchildren, Megan Cowne, Troy Cowne and Greyson Goodfellow. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem United Church of Christ or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
