He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Payne and Mary Payne (Irvine); and his sister Mary Alice Duncan. He is survived by: his wife Rosa Payne; his sons, Mike Payne of Denton, TX and Todd Payne of Bakersfield, CA; his stepchildren, Sofia Giroux of Santa Ana, CA, Charity Espinoza of Bakersfield and Carlos Espinoza of Bakersfield; and his brothers, Lee Payne of Yakima, WA and Robert Payne of Marrero, LA. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
