He was predeceased by: his parents, Dixon Bridges and Wanda Marie Bridges (Moore). He is survived by: his wife LaJuan; his daughters, Krista Buie (Tom) of Fort Smith and Kerrie Ganes (Jeremy) of Fort Smith; his brother David Bridges (Sharon) of Little; and his grandchildren, Brandon Ganes, Aaron Bridges and Hannah Ganes.

“Steve- Bridges will be missed by many Scouts and Scouters alike. Steve was a true Grandfather, a mentor, a friend, a leader in Pack 19 and Troop 19B (that met at Wesley UMC Ft. Smith). He made a huge impact for many youth in the Scouting program as he faithfully served as volunteer leader (a Scouter) from 2010 thru 2024. I cherish memories of Steve as a co-leader in Webelos & Arrow of Light den of Pack 19, and how his kindness and mentoring was a marvel to witness. Now he's "gone home."”
