He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Sombanh Phanakhone; his spouse Bounthanh Phanakhone; and his children, Phetsamone Phanakhone, Phimmasone Phanakhone, Daophaseath Phanakhone and Bounprasong Phanakhone. He was also cherished by three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers.
