She was predeceased by: her mother Arlene Church; and also, Rick, Michael and Stephen Thornton. She is survived by: her nephew Cole Thornton; her niece Tiffany Thornton; and her friend Patricia Sullivan.

“She was my boss at Whirlpool for a long period of time when everyone first told me she would be my boss I was scared to death because everyone was talking about mean she was. I never once had a problem with Sandy I showed up I done my job That's all she expected people to do if you didn't then you might have a problem with her but she was one of the best bosses I had she took time out to sit and talk to me about personal problems I had. The family of Sandy has my blessings”
